Rustic Tallow Soap, 3.5oz.

A simple, unscented soap made from just grass fed beef tallow. Rendered animal fat is a nourishing and time honored ingredient that won't irritate, making this the perfect soap for those with skin sensitivities, allergy to fragrance and surfactants, and skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. Also great for people with normal/oily/acne prone skin, it helps to maintain a healthy glow and is non-comedogenic/non-clogging.

We source suet (kidney fat from beef cattle) from local, grass fed farms and render it into the tallow that we handcraft all of our products from - it is creamy and nearly odorless, meaning that though your soap may have a slight "fatty" scent, it is not a "beefy" one! The scent and colour of the bars will vary from batch to batch slightly, due to the natural differences in animal fats.

This soap is made using a hot process, meaning that the soap is "cooked" at the end to speed up saponification (the word used to describe the chemical reaction that happens to form soap). This means that instead of a six week or longer "cure" time where the soap is left to sit on racks, that the soap is ready to use immediately and is cured for only a week or so before sale to ensure a hard bar that doesn't melt away too fast!

This soap has a rougher texture and is a bit softer than our classic cold process soap was, but is every bit as skin loving and exactly the same in every other way!
